This Privacy Policy explains how TaleiCare (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and services that connect clients with workers and businesses (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information We Collect

  • Account & Profile: name, email address, password (handled by Firebase Authentication), location/town, photo, bio, skills/services, and (optionally) payment preferences such as M-PAiSA number or Wise email. We do not store raw passwords.
  • Marketplace Data: bookings, availability/unavailability, messages between clients and providers, reviews/ratings, and job statistics.
  • Usage & Device: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
  • Uploads: images or documents you choose to upload (e.g., profile photos, top-up receipts).

How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve the Service, including profiles, search, bookings, messaging, and reviews.
  • Verify accounts, prevent fraud/abuse, and maintain safety and integrity.
  • Communicate with you about your account, bookings, updates, and support.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

Where applicable, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract (to provide the Service you requested).
  • Legitimate interests (e.g., to keep our platform secure and to improve features).
  • Consent (where you choose to provide optional information or enable certain features).

How We Share Information

  • Between Users: When you engage in a booking, relevant profile and booking details are shared between the client and the provider.
  • Service Providers: We use trusted vendors to host, store, and operate our Service (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud, hosting/CDN, analytics, email).
  • Payments: Clients typically pay providers directly. Where you add payment preferences (e.g., M-PAiSA number or Wise email), those are used to facilitate payment outside our platform; we do not process card payments ourselves.
  • Legal & Safety: We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in countries outside your own (e.g., with cloud providers). We take reasonable steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy.

Data Retention

We keep personal information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for individuals aged 18 and older. If we learn we’ve collected personal data from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
